Georgia State Capitol

Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site
Here you can see where the famous Martin Luther King Jr. was born, as well as the church where his father was a preacher. You can also see the place where he and his wife were laid to rest. There is a Visitor Centre containing numerous exhibits related to civil liberties and rights, and the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame, where you can learn about other people who were instrumental in the movement.
Piedmont Park is one of the city’s biggest green spaces, and is situated only a short way outside of the lively downtown area. There are tennis courts, football fields, baseball pitches, and play areas. Lake Clara Mere is a pretty place to relax, and there are many paths leading through the park, perfect for taking a stroll, rollerblading, and cycling.
Atlanta Contemporary Art Center
Art lovers will be delighted with this free attraction. It houses a large number of works by local, national, and global artists. It offers free admission on Thursdays.
The Castleberry Hill neighbourhood is a great place for taking a walk, and seeing the many restaurants, hip and trendy art galleries, and various meeting spots.
