Shopping in Kyiv

Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv has a surprisingly large number of fantastic shopping malls and entertainment centres throughout; you can find some great shopping in Kyiv. In addition to the centres already open, there are plans for even more with construction already underway for some. The next few years will see exciting developments in the world of shopping and leisure in Kyiv.

Some of the best current places for shopping in Kiev include the following:

Ocean Plaza

Ocean Plaza is one of the biggest shopping centres in the city at the moment. A major feature is a large aquarium filed with beautiful fish of varying sizes and colours. There are many terrific shops featuring well known and popular names, as well as a big German supermarket. If you want to catch a film after browsing the shops you can, with Cinema City showing all the latest releases. There are many food and drink outlets too. It is situated near to Lybidska metro station.

Dream Town

Dream Town is like a quintessential American mall. It offers many terrific shops as well as a number of great leisure and entertainment options. You can buy almost anything you may ever want, and entertainment wise there is roller skating, ice skating, bowling, mini golf, and pool tables.

The shopping centre is divided into different themed areas that include a jungle, the world of Hollywood and movies, and ones that replicate Paris, ancient Greece, and a bustling Chinatown. If you get hungry or thirsty the food court has a wide selection of tasty treats available. Dream Town can be found between Minska metro station and Obolon metro station.

Sky Mall

Sky Mall aims to provide a truly European shopping experience, and it does not fail to deliver. There is an impressive selection of shops, with a major emphasis on branded quality clothing. There are food and beverage outlets spread across the mall as well as a good cinema. It is centrally located in the city.

Bolshevik

This big multi-level shopping centre can be found in the city centre. There are many big brands available, and the Mega Market is particularly popular with visitors and locals alike. It also has several exclusive boutiques, which add a certain glamour. Entertainment wise there is a cinema, a bowling alley, and an ice rink, and there are numerous cafes, coffee shops, and restaurants to choose between should you feel peckish.

Poltava

There are over 50 shops selling a mixed assortment of different products as well as a magnificent concert hall and a number of entertainment and leisure options. These include a cinema, a roller dome, a bowling alley, a laser maze, and pool tables. There are also hair salons, beauty parlours, banking facilities, and tourist information offices. A big food court caters to most tastes. It is at the junction of Zinkivska Street and Pavlenkiyska Street, within easy reach of a bus station and train station.
